How it works
Select Egg
Admins choose an Egg template (Paper, Fabric, Terraria, etc.) and assign RAM and CPU limits.
Execute
Pelican Wings launches isolated Docker containers on fast NVMe SSD storage.
Persist
World saves, chunk files, and automated backups stream directly to the 8TB HDD array.
Tunnel
An Oracle US-East VPS proxies TCP & UDP traffic to leafyserver.tech with single-digit ping.
Play
Connect instantly via clean domain addresses with automatic DNS SRV port routing.
Server connection addresses
How to connect from your game client. Zero port-forwarding or third-party software needed on player PCs.
Minecraft Java
DNS SRV records auto-route to the server port. Never type a port number:

Architecture & performance
Hybrid Storage Split
Server runtimes, jars, binaries, and temporary files live on the host NVMe SSD for blazing fast disk I/O and zero tick drops (TPS lag). Massive world saves, chunk files, player databases, and automated backups are mounted directly to the 8TB HDD array (/srv/media/games), keeping the SSD clean while world sizes grow infinitely.
Low-Latency US-East VPS Tunnel
Instead of opening risky home router ports or relying on throttled free relays that route traffic across the Atlantic, all gaming traffic tunnels securely through an Always-Free Oracle Cloud VPS in US-East (Ashburn). Players in NY connect with single-digit ping directly via our custom leafyserver.tech domain.
Container & Resource Isolation
Every game server runs in an isolated, sandboxed Docker container managed by Pelican Wings. Strict CPU, RAM, and disk quotas prevent a runaway mod or memory leak on one server from crashing or lagging any other server or the media stack.
Modular Egg Templates
Game servers are deployed from modular templates called 'Eggs'. Each Egg defines the base Docker container image, installation scripts, startup arguments, and game variables. We have Paper, Fabric, Forge, NeoForge, Terraria Vanilla, tModLoader, and Hytale ready to deploy, with full support for importing any community Egg JSON.
